Winter

Winter is a time for slowing down, curling up beside the fire with a good book and eating hearty meals.
If we were attuned to nature as the trees, we would retreat, conserve energy build up our stores in anticipation of spring. 
However in our fast paced, stressful lifestyles, we don’t seem to change pace much at all and then wonder why the winter colds take hold.

So here are some tips to survive the winter and stay healthy:
1. Go to bed early and wake up late. Getting extra hours of sleep before midnight is crucial for healing and building up your energy.
2. Keep warm, especially protecting the kidneys and bladder from the cold wind, so wear those scarves, beanies and thermals.
3. Be quiet – meditate more frequently and allow yourself to dream.
4. Eat for the season. Enjoy hearty soups, casseroles and stews and baked foods. Don’t worry about calories; focus on the nutritional content.
5. Keep up your water intake – drinking warm herbal teas is beneficial. We often forget to drink in colder weather which leads to dehydration.
6. Exercise – Avoid long grueling workouts. A brisk walk is all you need in winter.
7. Treat yourself to a massage – this is the best way to get chi and blood flowing without exertion.

Fee Structure

Fitness class - $15 per class (if paying by term)

Fitness class - $20 casual

$180 (10 session booklet)

Yoga - $20 per class (if paying by the term)

Yoga - $25 casual

Discounts apply if enrolled in more than one type of fitness class. Second class would be $13 and 3rd would be $11.
